Deploy HPC Cluster on Microsoft Azure using SyncHPC

SyncHPC is a platform that empowers administrators with unparalleled control of multiple clouds including Microsoft Azure. It helps deploy, manage, and access HPC clusters with ease. Let’s explore SyncHPC’s HPC deployment functionality that makes it a game-changer in this arena.

Effortless Deployment

One of the standout features of SyncHPC is its intuitive deployment process. Administrators can initiate a new Azure HPC deployment seamlessly. The process is straightforward and user-friendly, even for those new to the platform.

  1. Log in to the SyncHPC platform using your administrator credentials.
  2. From the main navigation panel, locate and click on the “Deployment” tab.
  3. Within the “Deployment” section, find the “+ New Deployment” option and click on it.
  4. Choose the desired deployment type from the dropdown menu.
  5. A form will appear, prompting you to enter all the necessary inputs. It includes deployment names, hardware specifications, software configurations, and network settings.
  6. Click the “Submit” button to initiate the deployment creation process.

Microsoft Azure HPC Deployment Form

HPC deployment gets initiated once the admin submits the form. The admin can monitor the deployment progress on SyncHPC. Typically, it takes about 15-20 minutes to complete the deployment. After the deployment, users can start submitting their jobs.

Please note that the deployed cluster will be auto-scalable. Hence, only the required compute nodes will be running based on the running jobs.

If the admin wants to increase the number of compute nodes, then SyncHPC’s ‘extra’ node addition feature makes it easy.

Adding ‘Extra’ Nodes to existing deployment

SyncHPC - Add Extra Node in the same cluster
  1. From the “Nodes” section, identify the deployment to which you want to add a new node. Select that deployment.
  2. Locate and click on the “+ Add Node” within the chosen deployment.
  3. A pop-up form will appear, prompting you to provide details about the new node you want to add.
  4. Fill in the necessary information for the new node. This could include the node name, hardware specifications, role (compute node, OS, etc.), and other relevant settings.
  5. Click the “Submit” button to initiate the process of adding the new node to the deployment.

By providing complete ownership of Microsoft Azure HPC Clusters, intuitive deployment processes, and simplified extra node addition, SyncHPC empowers administrators to shape their computing landscapes according to their vision.

SyncHPC offers a user-centric platform for managing infrastructure with a robust feature set, paving the way for a new era of ownership and control in Hybrid HPC and VDI.
